Auto Transport Checklist
- The transporter will get the car carrier as close to your driveway as possible at both origin and destination. Narrow roads, overhead lines, and low hanging tree limbs may prevent the driver from getting to your door. In this event, you may be asked to meet the carrier at a location that will be suitable for a safe pickup/delivery, usually a large open parking lot at a shopping center or school. As part of FHA's rules and regulations, the transportation of household goods, personal items, firearms or ammunition is prohibited by car carriers. ABRS is not responsible for lost or missing items placed or left in your car.
- Do not leave medication, valuables, or important documents in your vehicle.
- Antennas must be fully retracted or removed prior to transport. ABRS is not responsible for this item.
- ABRS is not responsible for any under-the-hood or mechanical malfunctions including exhaust assembly, alignment, suspension or tuning of engine because inspection of these items is not practical at time of shipment. ABRS is not responsible for damage caused by freezing of cooling system and or batteries. Your auto insurance must be on effect during transportation to cover any Acts of God. DO NOT CANCEL YOUR POLICY.
- It is the responsibility of the transferee to secure or remove any and all loose parts or special equipment. ABRS will not be held liable for damage or loss of loose parts or special equipment when not properly secured or stored so as to prevent loss by owner / shipper in advance of pick up. Any part of the vehicle that falls off in transit is the shipper's responsibility, including damage to any and all vehicles involved, caused by said occurrence.
